PurrView #75 - A Farewell Meow

Sharing tidbits of my life with the world via PurrView has been utterly lovely. But as with all good things, we've reached the end. Through 75 ragtag blurbs over the course of the last couple years, I've spoken in short and at length to an array of subjects—from musicians/bands to Vegas happenings to art events and personal opinion—and I thank you for tuning in to my frequency. As all-over-the-place as I was topically, I truly appreciate the opportunity to write and be read. Now, it's time for Pennies to move on to other creative projects and platforms of expressing oneself. Not sure where I'm headed yet, but it'll probably go something like, working on my creative writing, or, pursuing my passion for film & video... Who knows, but since I turned 30 four days ago, it hit me—it's time for a change. :)

It's a brave new world now: 30, flirty and thriving! (Forgive me for referencing Aldous Huxley and Jennifer Garner in the same sentence LoL.) In closing, please enjoy seeing what I've been up to lately (below). And wherever you are, send me your good, creative vibes. Merci, gracias, danke, salamat, mahalo, thank you! And remember: YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!

Lighting up the streets of Downtown Las Vegas for the 2nd annual 5K GlowRun on October 13, 2013. Here's a pic of the post-race block party called AfterGlow, in the Fremont East Entertainment District. Proceeds benefited Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN).
Soaking up the beauty of life at the first ever LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL festival.  A 2-day extravaganza of culinary, musical, artistic, and social proportions. This amazing gathering took place in the streets of Downtown Las Vegas and featured musical acts such as Pretty Lights, Alabama Shakes, Imagine Dragons, Portugal. the Man, Empire of the Sun, Purity Ring, Zedd and so many more! Cirque du Soleil performers, master chefs, learning seminars, fashion, dope street art, city gardens... this festival blew my mind!

Throwing the 4th annual Las Vegas Halloween Parade with Flying Pan Productions! We told the community of Las Vegas to "Come As You Aren't" with an open-to-the-public procession that featured art cars, bicycle gangs, mutant vehicles, musicians, fire performers, kids, adults, and even Playboy Playmate of the Year Claire Sinclair  (pictured here) as the Queen of the Halloween Parade! We also had a great time throwing the post-parade block party in the Fremont East Distric.

Hanging with friends visiting from out of town... Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay with Chi-Town friends (a Vegas nightlife experience I highly recommend!) and dinner with my B.C. girls at Trevi (in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace).

Catching an NBA game at Mandalay Bay—Clippers vs Nuggets.

Throwing the Desert Hops International Beer Experience with Vegas Seven magazine and the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. We held the celebration of global brews at the Cosmopolitan's Boulevard Pool overlooking the Las Vegas Strip on November 9, 2013.

Throwing the DTLV.com Block Party —the official after-party of the Zappos.com "1/2 of the Half" quarter-marathon component of the famous Rock n Roll Marathon. Hot Mess Boutique, DoTerraVegas ThreadHippo Esthetics, The Jeweler's Daughter and Lobster Me were among the local vendors and food trucks on-site!

 Au revoir...
